OUR GOLDEN HOUR HAS JUST BEGUN

 

1.      WiFi

We are proud to be the first department in KLE VK Institute of Dental sciences to be WiFi enabled.

   

1.      Renovation

Currently the department is in the process renovation in two phases. It is soon going to boast of having separate work stations for all the doctors like in a cubicle system.

3.      Dolphin Imaging System

 

We are the first department to procure the Dolphin Imaging System. It is going to computerize all the cephalometric inferences, save time and provide a visual aid to picture the treatment outcome after orthognathic surgery and orthodontic treatment.

 

 
   

4.      2 CDE programs

In the past 3 months we have organized 2 CDE programs. Dr. Vijay Jayade, pioneer in orthodontics from Sibar Dental college, Guntur delivered a lecture on 10th July 2009 titledHow well have we understood Biomechanics.” And Dr. Diwakar Karanth from Maratha Mandal Dental College, Belgaum on 9th September 2009 onSegmental Mechanics.”

We are soon going to start a Student Exchange program with SDM Dental College, Dharwad during which Post Graduate students form the two universities can experience the working and functioning of the other Universities Orthodontics department.

October 1st is celebrated as Orthodontic day. We celebrate the entire week as orthodontic week in the 1st week of October annually. This includes various events like dental screening for school children and organizing CDE programs.
