Introduction |
|
Our
esteemed K .L.E. S. Institute of Dental Sciences College
was inaugurated in the year 1985. Subsequently in the
year 1987 our department of Periodontics was started.
In the year 1990 September post graduation was commenced
and two postgraduates were enrolled with an enhance to
the present number of 5 seats in 2002. .After which
there was no looking back. The department opened its
doors for new courses and programs like the course for
hygienist in 1999. The department joined hands with the
department of Implantology and started a certificate
course on Implants in 2003. A certificate course on
Perio- Esthetic and Periodontal plastic Surgery
commenced in 2007. All this would not have been
possible without the competitive faculty which makes up
the strength of the department |

Brief History |
|
- The educational programs in Periodontics are extensive with courses for Dental Hygienist, Undergraduate students, Interns and Post graduate students.
- B.D.S. Course started in August 1985
- M.D.S. Course started in September 1991
- Dental Hygiene Course started in September 1999.
- And soon the department will start Certificate Course in Reconstructive & Esthetic Surgery.
