  • General principles of pathology – Inflammation, degeneration and repair
  • Application of general principles of pathology of teeth and surrounding tissues.
  • Dental anamolies

  • Oral manifestations of systemic diseases.
  • Vitamin deficiencies and infectious diseases.

  • Elementary knowledge of bacteriology, asepsis, infection, immunity.
  • Brief description of pathology and  bacteriology  of dental caries and gingival infections.

  • Lectures and Practical:
  • Basic food chemistry in relation to general and oral health

  • Assessment and charting of individual  diet and counseling.
